Aspiration’s tree planting initiatives that integrate sustainability solutions into the everyday actions of consumers and corporations were honored as an innovative program that will create far-reaching benefits to society.
Aspiration has been recognized as one of Fast Company’s 2022 World Changing Ideas, highlighting Aspiration’s reforestation program, which has grown to become one of the largest in the world. We’re proud to say that through the support from both our consumer customers and corporate partners, Aspiration has funded the planting of more than 75 million trees in the last year. That means that Aspiration is funding more trees every few hours than the total number of trees in New York City’s Central Park, with tree planting taking place in countries including Kenya, Mozambique, Madagascar, Honduras, Brazil, and the United States.
Aspiration strives to empower individuals and companies to build climate change-fighting action into what they do every day in ways that make it easy, automated, engaging, and yet still enormously powerful. Our multinational reforestation program is creating a massive impact and has been named in the climate category of Fast Company’s 2022 World Changing Ideas Awards.

Our reforestation initiative is supported by consumers using Aspiration’s Plant Your Change program, and businesses who sign up for large commitments to tree-planting through Aspiration. Plant Your Change allows anyone to link their eco-friendly debit cards or credit cards to reforestation simply by rounding up purchases and using that change to plant a tree. This simple act brings sustainability into the hands of consumers to directly impact their carbon footprint through daily actions.
